nectar is a business created by two friends, kim and diana, who love to shop. we especially loved to shop for jewelry (and shoes, but that’s another story). in 2003, we bought some jewelry and loved it so much that, at kim’s urging, we decided to try and make some ourselves. inspired by our love of really pretty things and always wanting something new to wear, we started making jewelry in the summer of 2004 - at first just for each other and our moms. we have even been known to get up and make something first thing in the morning, to match an outfit for work. almost immediately, people began to ask us where we got the fabulous sterling silver and semi-precious necklaces, earrings and bracelets we wear all the time – thus, a small business was born.
every piece of nectar jewelry is handmade at our very own dining room tables (to the dismay of our always supportive husbands) and no piece is duplicated -with exceptions for custom orders. when you buy something made by nectar, you can be sure we’ve taken the time to add the small details that makes a piece special and unique and hopefully, a “wear-with-everything” favorite.
